back to blogging...and back at home
hello lovely readers! i'm finally back to the blogging after abandoning it for a few days...it has been a really hectic week, and i have been living on u.s hours(being awake from 3pm-8am for a week! ) and is now trying to tweak my clock back to malaysian time.
but, the good news is the semester has almost come to an end (albeit for another one last last final paper on timber and steel construction on 2 december) , and i've gotten better result than expected for my studio, which was a really big relief! studio has been very depressing this year, and we were practically left to fend for ourselves for every project, and i'm just happy to have pull through it alive and well. 2 of my coursemates from the same workbase wasn't so lucky as they have been failed by the studiomaster due to late submission, and this made me realize that studio work is just going to get harder every semester. *shivers*
anyway, we went straight to the a famosa resort in tampin, melaka after handing in the report on wakaf(it's a traditional malay pavillion). let me describe to you how hectic our (my ) timetable was.
1. 11/11/2010, 2am: start work on the 20 page report. ok i started late because after dinner and shopping at jusco for supplies for the trip, annnddd watching 3 episodes of gossip girl season 4 (yay chuck and blair are finally together again! i can't wait for juliette to be cut off from the show, i dislike her to the max! ) i had to do the report. last minute work is my forte but i try to avoid doing so as much as i can. it's miserable, i mean, trying to rush something on time.
5.59am: yay! finally done with report, walk back from studio to hostel and started packing things. must leave to the bus station at 7.30am.
so you see what i mean about the hectic thingy i was talking about?? i have only one and a half hour to pack, print, and bath before scrambling to grab a cab and head to the bus station. without sleep. and we're suppose to go to a waterpark. in my mind i was going, "how the hell are we going to stay awake later at noon? (4 of us girls didn't have any sleep at all) and my mind told me, adrenaline! " the past few weeks have been so packed in timing. after i finish doing something i would have to rush of for another stuff later, without any rest. i felt like some robot who doesn't need any sleep at all but still manages to operate. freaky. although i was awake the side effect was, i got cranky most of the time. ;(
anyways, apart from me complaining that the timing of the trip was too rushed, and being haggled by small town taxis ( i hate them, they don't charge you by meters, and small towns has no other public transport and we had no choice but to pay them), the part where we went to the waterpark was fun. it was fun hanging out with a whole bunch of my friends from uni, without assignments bound to us, and i was really glad when they forced me to get up the highest human slide in the park and pushed me down when i got into scaredy cat mode and attempted to sneak away. i didn't realise their heart kind of stopped beating when i got stuck a quarter way way down the slide (because of the clothes, i wasn't wearing swimming clothes, you see, and attempted to climb back up because i didn't realise how high up i was) but i manage to slide down safely afterwards. *thank god*
and the weather was kind to us as well, none of us got sun burnt. cooking was crazy, and the part where they mix shandy, orange juice and lychee might have gotten some people into diarrhea but all was well after a few trips to the wc. :p
the train back home from the bus terminal made me realise how much i've missed home, and the familiarity of the surroundings that i was used to. some things have changed without me realizing only afterwards, like how my favourite channel, star world has change it's logo. for now i'm planning to stay at home and just be surrounded with everything that i love. there is nothing better than being at home.
happy holidays!
