Before it ends

within the next few days we'll be stepping into a whole new year. it has been a roller coaster year for me, literally, with the world stopping at my feet when i collected my STPM examination results, and being accepted to study architecture thereafter, going to university, starting a life as a hostel-staying student, losing my phone and working my ass of to hand in my projects on time! (seriously, i don't mind having another 2 more hours in my 24 hours time limit :) )

2009 has been a bizarre year for me, having one friend relocated to Sydney, Australia, and another friend being accepted to study in MIT, i would like to compile a list that consist of every event/music/art/movie/projects that have etched into my mind and deemed unforgettable in a way.

The bizarre:

the death of the king of pop, micheal jackson . I was stunned rather than saddened at first when i heard about the news(he died a day before i was suppose to start uni). I'm not trying to be unsympathetic and all, but i did thought that the cause of death was by drug over-dosing. i mean, we'll never know the real truth behind his death , but after watching "this is it", i came to realize that the world really have lost a talented person. he is a genius in what he does, and i admire him for that, although i wasn't really a big fan of him initially. i guess i'll never understand why he had to underwent all that pain in order to be in a different color than his father, and his trademark way of grabbing his crotch when he dance, and why as a kid i wonder if he's a male or a female when i watched him performing on tv. whatever it is, rest in peace, micheal!

the crazy:
tiger wood, i think you're crazy to leave your wife. at least be smart and hide the evidence!

the unforgetable:

movies:

avatar: avatar is the movie of the year. the.i can't even describe how great it is. did you know james cameron actually wrote this first before
titanic? i have to say he is smart and patient enough to wait for the technology to catch up, and i guess its a good thing it did. what if it didn't? or what if he didn't bother to wait?the movie might be a fluke then. i have to say there isn't any flaws in terms of the computer generated images , and i am impressed!!

the proposal: normally i avoid romantic comedy's as they normally comes from the same mold which is boring and predictable. but this one is different, and the biggest difference it has compared to all the other generic romantic comedy is, i watched it twice!! and i love it! the movie does not really have the icky-lovey-dovey stuff, but
instead, it is really funny, and at some part of the movie, tears did roll down my cheeks! great cast, nice location, and good script, and really really funny at one point! i totally adore betty white as grandma annie!!
twilight new moon: okok, i heard groans already, its not a really good movie, but at least i have edward to drool on! ;p here's a really nice poster of both of them...

music that i can't get out of my head:
( all these music videos do not belong to me...)

taylor swifts - " you belong with me"

kelly clarkson's - "already gone"

boyslikegirls feat. taylor swift " two is better than one"
(too bad there is no official music video yet..)

jay-z feat. alicia keys "empire state of mind"

i'm not done with the list yet!! this shall go on before 2010 :)
