a day in singapore

one thing i love about studying in johor is that i can just "pop" into singapore anytime i want. well it takes 30 minutes on paper but technically it's almost 1 1/2 hours. well you have to wait for the bus , go through customs at both sides of the countries, and wait in lines, not to mention the traffic jams during the weekend. ah, but oh well, at least we get to go "overseas" whenever we feel like it.

singapore is a really nice place, and the place is really really clean. yesterday we decided to pop into marina bay and see some of it's new structure and get into the casino for a look. the place was really nice, but much plainer from the photographs that i've seen, especially the iconic towers, they have a yet to be completed architecture near the shoppes at marina bay, but it's really interesting from the outside. to me it looks like a blossoming alienic flower..white exterior with green tainted windows, i'm still not sure what that architecture will be for..

i notice one difference from the public spaces that they have there at marina bay is people are more willing to just sit down on the floor or the street furniture and enjoy the view, if compared to malaysia. one thing for sure is the place is clean and people wouldn't mind sitting on the floor. we spent quite some time there posing quaintly (a tourist even video-ed our antics! ), having fun with the street furniture (they had one that has a automatic fan which is really fun, because there wasn't any switch on it and we were trying to figure out how to get the thing on. it's pretty smart because it can differentiate if a human being or an object is there, cause when we left with just our bags there the fan would stop. now, that's a very efficient fan!

so here's some beautifully edited picture done by my roomie. enjoy ;)
