one day trip and a break from your normal routine
last weekend the photography club I was in organised a one day shooting trip to a park and I-city. Initially we've suggested to go to broga hill (trust me, that place has the prettiest view of the sun rising ever, and wedding couples are even willing to trade their leather and jimmy choos to climb up that peak for that! )
it was my first time to taman pertanian shah alam, and the park is humongous! it's so huge and they have so many bicycle that are up for rent because there's no way you're going to walk around the whole park by foot.
some of the picture of the flowers at the park. we were divided to groups of 5 with a DSLR. imagine 5 people clamoring for a camera! ><>

can you spot the bee? there wasn't any macro lens so we had to just use what we have :(
i love both of these bougainvilleas because of the contrast it gives to the whole picture
one of the attraction at taman pertanian shah alam is that it has this 4 season house where they recreate the 4 seasons. it was the fall season when we were there, and they even planted some plants that we don't usually get to see in a tropical country. but sadly some of them were dying because i guess it's quite hard to maintain the temperature. the indoors temperature was 12 degress Celsius at that time. did you know that before we went in the temperature outside was about 30 degrees? we felt the cold only 45 minutes later...
brrr!
back to the sunny weather that i have a love hate relationship with.
let me introduce you to my friend wen yong. he's the dude who does not posses the shy and embarrassment gene in his dna. plus he poses well!!
see what i meant?
moving on to I-City. i've never been here before. first impression of this place? it's new, and apparently created as a future city with tons of artificial trees that lights up at night. it's not pretty during day time, because what you can see is fake trees all over.
part of the real trees they have. honestly, although fake trees are breathlessly pretty at night, i would still prefer the real and original tree.
see the fake trees on the left? this is just part of it! they even have peacocks, deers, ducks, swans that'll lit up at night.
lit up trees. i have to admit that the moment the trees are lit up one by one it was a magical moment, but the thought of the money and the electricity that was spent for this kind of squashed that magical feeling. it's short term stunning i see, and long term pay back huh!
pictures till here because we've used the camera for the past 7 hours. oh well, at least we did manage to get tons of pictures!
we reached the campus at 1am feeling exhausted and tired. but it was a fun weekend and a nice break from all that routine!
how was your weekend?
:)
