a tourist in your own place
Before i start blabbering about the said title let me just elaborate a little on how tiring the whole interning experience is. I know, how could sitting in an office from 9-5 without doing any physical labor could tire one out? i have no idea. it's very exhausting! it's about using the computer all day, regardless of doing cad's , graphics or designing. apparently you can't do anything formal/ serious without the computer. Thank god for site visits every week. and lunch breaks. and toilet breaks. hah! no i do not sleep in the toilet it's just damn unhygienic.
ok end of elaboration. internship? fun but tiring. and it's making me fear the future 9-5 job regime. but i still have 2 more years to go and i certainly do not want to start work right after i graduate. i need some me time . we'll see about that then.
back to funner topic.
i had a crazy weekend with my neighbors with me and my brother being the human gps, bringing them to the dim sum restaurant in sungai buloh. the name is kong mah, do not confuse this with the one under the tree *no i have not tried that one* but this restaurant has the meanest and most selection of dim sum that i've ever tasted so far. we we're about to head home when my neighbor was reminiscing about a certain fruit in genting sempah and we ended up heading there *very near to genting* just, to get fruits and vegetables. ah, nothing like going out with a bunch of...... woman. very friendly, down to earth, funny and spontaneous women. i bet if there were older man in the car they would have gone crazy just by listening to them bantering about stuffs. seriously. there was only an auntie's equally outgoing husband and my brother. the uncles was the one who suggested going to genting sempah. *shockers* . my brother was the one shaking his head *not the oh yes! shake but the oh no what are these bunch of women gonna do shake*. see the difference?
genting sempah. sometimes i wonder why people chose to stay near a hillside, away from the city or next to highways. i mean, i couldn't connect the dots on how to get there because highways * either the north-south highway or the karak highway* cut through forest/mountains? and are quite away from the city and the amenities like hospitals, schools, and the likes. i mean, highways are long and there are no u turns, or small turning here or there so i can't really wrap my head around it, even until now. how do you get there?
spot the durian. there's a bunch of right there! i was sort of nervous when i was taking the picture as there were other durians hanging around at the tree. legend/myth/old sayings goes that when a durian falls it wont hit a person's head *which could be fatal* unless well, because of karma. i rushed off after i got the picture. it does feel a little intimidating standing under a durian tree with unripe durian.
wriggly lizard. couldn't help myself but sing the wriggle wriggle wriggle wriggle wriggle yeah! initially i thought it was some sort of gecko. couldn't be sure. the bro was adamant it's just a lizard and the way it walks is weird because of the rough surface. he's probably right.
anyway. the mums and aunties spent a bomb on shopping just for veggies and fruits. not a bomb, but the amount is quite close to that. i like trips like this. impromtu, quick, on a heartbeat small trips. next weekend? Ipoh! or should i say, eatpoh? *geddit geddit? *
:)
