our first stop in penang is to the bendera hill. if you're malaysian and have your student card it's going to cost you rm4 only both ways with the furnicular train. the last time i went the train was ancient, now it looks super modern! i think they have done a good job with preserving the old station, and they've just change the train. it's super fast now, we reached the top in a few minutes time!!

but it's not as cold as how i remembered. at the time we went it was really hazy, so we didn't had the chance to look at penang from atop.  they're building a really nice rest place and food court right now, and i suppose if you go there in a few more months time the place will be really nice already.

a sneak peak in my bag. i love my pink ray bans but my guy friends just can't stop laughing whenever i wear them.

we took a walk (for 5 km! ) because the charge of the cabby car is kind of expensive. it was a fun walk, there's really old bungalows dotted around the trail.

the henna drawing cost rm15! it's suppose to last for a week but when we took a bath later it started to fade already. so my advice is to not get the henna at the bendera hill...

 kek lok si temple. we didn't really took time to explore the place because it was scorching hot at that time and the haze was making it worst. we just went to the place where the goddess of mercy statue stood, and lighted joss sticks before we left for the heritage trail.

the khoo kongsi temple. this temple is really magnificent!  it use to be the temple ofthe khoo clan, and they even have their own hall of fame where names and their place of graduation in university all of the world are  engraved in wooden and metal plates.

the guard in front of the temple. i found it odd, but it reminded me of the guards of the british people during  the occupation times.
